Master of Occupational Therapy | Master of Applied Psychology
Mental Health Occupational Therapist - Endorsed by BAMH & OTA
I’ve been practising as an OT for over five years after completing a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney in 2019.
Before pursuing OT, I spent six years studying psychology, earning both a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Applied Psychology.
My journey to OT was deeply personal. As someone with neurodivergent needs, I found traditional talk therapy less effective for my own challenges. It was OT that provided me with the tools to manage my mental health and work performance.
This experience inspired me to pursue OT as a career, combining my psychology training to offer a unique, psychologically minded approach to therapy. My goal is to support people, like myself, who may struggle with mental health challenges or psychosocial disabilities and feel that traditional approaches don’t quite fit their needs.

Occupational therapy can help with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to: stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, mental health conditions, and chronic pain.
Yes. Idyllic Therapy is experienced in supporting NDIS participants with psychosocial disabilities. We offer both therapeutic supports and assessments, including Functional Capacity Assessments to support NDIS reviews or access requests.
A Functional Capacity Assessment is a detailed report that evaluates how someone manages daily activities across areas like self-care, communication, social interaction, and mobility. It’s often used for NDIS planning or reviews.
We work with a range of psychosocial disabilities, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Our approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, and strengths-based.
Idyllic Therapy primarily works with adolescents and adults, but we’re happy to refer you to trusted paediatric OTs if your child is under 12.
You can get in touch via our contact form, email, or phone. We’ll arrange an initial discussion to understand your goals and determine the best way to support you.
